Since I wanted to avoid a long train journey and a large crowd of pilgrims in Puri, I decided to take a flight to and fro Bhubaneshwar. After some research, I found that the pilgrim and tourist crowd is normally less after full moon day following Diwali festival (Kartik Purnima) and before the onset of Christmas vacation. So we planned the trip during the second half of December 2012. We were joined by one of my close relatives - a couple who were also the senior citizens like us to make a group of 4 persons.

We reached Bhubaneshwar on December 15th by Air India flight which was the only airline having a direct flight from Mumbai to Bhubaneshwar. Our easy paced day to day schedule was as under :

Nice Post. I really love this. The different places to visit in Bhubaneswar offer quite a mixed bag by way of natural wonders, temples, monuments, parks, and lots of other interesting Bhubaneswar tourist places. Check out best hotels in Bhubaneswar near airport also for comfortable accommodation.
It gives a great description of Bhubaneswar, the temple city and its surrounding places that one can visit. Travelling by buses to these places will be convenient. Online bus tickets in Odisha are now also available at www.HotTicket.in for the travellers.
